Nearly Emled in n How,Kenosha, Wis., Oct. 11).—The princJ-’ pal go in the boxing contests here, that between Adam Ryan, of Chicago, andJoe IYreente, of Milwaukee, nearly ended in the mobbing* of the referee, Sig Ilart. 1'ercente clearly had ltyan outclassed aiul time and again had him on the ropes, but Ilart gave the light to Ryan. The 500 sports present made a wiid rush for the stage. Had it not been for the interference of the police Hart would have fared badly. Kid Harvard, who managed the show, announced that he would not give the money to Ryan, but would divide the purse. A large amount of money had been wagered on this go, but all bets were declared off.
