Sullivan, coached by j former Austin player Dick Ov-ington, ran over Foreman on1 Thrusday, 27 to 13, while the' Marshall Commandos edged Prosser in the closing seconds'of play, 26 to 20. iThe wmning marker that broke the 20 to 20 deadlock in Saturday’s game against Prosser came when Alex Hines passed 14 yards to John Smith. Smith had previously scored on a 40 yard run with an intercepted pass. The other Marshall score came on a 25 yard pass i from Hines to Lester Bland.Bill Bradley tallied two of Prosser’s three touchdowns on runs of 15 and seven yards. Gerald Bagnowski got the other on a five-yard sprint. Rudy Schimek was successful on two point after touchdown kicks, as was Smith of Marshall.The Falcons missed a golden opportunity to score in the third quarter when they reached the Marshall 10 yard line following a pass mterception by Carmen Adams.Saturday afternoon when the Tigers meet Steinmetz in Hanson Park stadium. The game will start at 1:30 o’clock.The Tigers sustained their second straight Red divisionsetback last Saturday when they were unable to cope with a tough Lane Tech eleven andwere bowled over, 19 to 6.It wasn’t until the fourth quarter that the Tigers were able to get into the scoring act. They tallied their lone touchdown when Charles White smashed over from the one yard line. Bob Simmons* kick for the extra point failed.Lane, which dominated playthroughout, scored on its fifth play of the game when Gary Huett r*n over from the 30 yard line. The same Huett made touchdown No. 2 in the second quarter when he bolted over on a two yard run. The key play in getting the Indians into scoring position was a long pass from quarterback Steve Livas.The Indians completed theirscoring in the third quarter ona 13 yard pass play from Livasto Keith Foley.. Austin had given up a scoring opportunity in the second quarter when they reached the nine yard line, only to lose the ball on a fumble.Game statistics thoroughly show how the unbeaten Indians dominated play. They led in first downs, 12 to 8, in total yardage, 337 to 131, and in penetration points, 60 to 20. The Tigers were successful in only two out of eight passes for eight yards while the Indians clicked on four out of nine for 76 yards.
