........REFEREE MOBBED.Police Clear the Ring at a ClilcagcAthletic Club.Chicago, Oct. 13.—It took half a •core of policemen fully ten minutes tt clear the ring at the Illinois Athletic club, so incensed had the spectators become over the decision of Referee Hogan giving Buddy Ryan the decision over Young Mowatt at the end of a sii round fight. In the scrimmage Hogan was struck in the face and knocked down. Sig Hart, the local bantam weight, tried to protect the referee and received a severe beating for his pains. The police finally managed to get the principals in the melee separated and cleared the hall without further trouble. The fight between Ryan and Mowatt was fast and furious with Ryan having the advantage up to the fifth round. Mowatt fought fiercely it the sixth.
