South Park And Merrill Notch 4th, 3rd WinsSouth Park was triumphant for the fourth time in a row and Merrill for the third successive time in Wednesday's eighth grade flag football games.South Park turned back Webster Stanley, 12-6, and Merrill downed Sacred Heart, 26-0. In theother game St. Peter's beat Training. 21-0.Bob Stueber tallied bcfn touchdowns for South Park. Webster Stanley’s tally was made by Harvey Jones,Ronald Fritz scored twice to lead Merrill to ils conquest of Sacred Heart. Other TD’s were made by Dale La Jennesse and Peter Stopinski. Curtis Slife and Dave Reamer added the two extra points.Dan Tanty, Joe Hildebrand and Ben Rost scored touchdowns for St. Peter’s. Tanty added two extra points and Jim Kelly got the other.Syracuse University’s last losing football,campaign came in 1949.
