Benjamin Harrison after thirteen days spent in camp. Hundreds of citizens greeted the soldiers at the town limits, and they Were escorted to camp, where they will remain until tomorrow, when the march I to Salem will begin. Th 3 men enjoyed » a chicken dinner at Paoli yesterday,1 which was given by the citizsns. The men are in line shape, and enjoyed the camp and work at French Lick.At French Lick Sunday nearly every citizen turned out to bid the soldiers good bye. At 12:30 o’clock the trumpet sounded the command to march. Tney were headed by Colonel Glenn, Major Duval and Thomas Taggart. The regiment marched across the golf links tothe French Lie* springs hotel, where the band gave a short concert, and then it marched to West Baden, where the machine guns and mounted scouts were picked up.The officers and their wives were the guests at a ball at French Lick Saturday night, and the baseball team from the regiment played the Sprudels of West Baden in the afternoon, the Sprudels winniag by a score of 8 to 0. The woman of West Baden served fifty gallons of ice cream and several hundred pies to the enlisted men Saturday afternoon. The regimental parade at French Lick in the afternoon was witnessed by the largest crowd that had been present since the outfit arrived.
