MORRISTOWN, N J, Oct 14-Misg Pauline Mackay won the U S women’s golf championship at the Morris County G. C. today by beating Mis^ Margaret Curtis of the Essex County club by 1 up in the best match that has been seen in the final of a woman’s meeting in this country. . ..For the first time a club in the Bos-mi • fton district will have the custody of the Robert Cox cup, which has -done a lot of traveling in the last 10 years and has on it the history of the. championships. The club this year will be the Oakley C. C. of Watertown, which is fortunate in having as a club member Miss Mackay, who this year won the Massachusetts championship and now has won the national championship. Oakley also has a professional, Donald J. Ross, who won the open tournament of the Bay state.Miss Mackay won a splendid, uphill match.
