The official ruled Findlay’s GaryFor over three-quarters, it appeared the game would mark ione of Findlay’s finest football hours. Playing the same inspired ball they did last week against Elyria, the Trojans were up 13-0 and everything looked rosie. Then Sandusky, which hasn’t lost in the Buckeye Conference since 1964, Sound its composure and scored three touchdowns, all by tailback Ed Williams. The final score was a bit tainted and came after Findlay failed on a fourth down try in its own territory. ,If Sandusky isn't a one-man team,, it’s awfully darn close. Williams alone gained 147 yards an 30 carries. The rest of the Streaks picked up but 46 yards and 24 of these were on a scrambling run by quarterback Dan Miller. The Trojans could go no place with the hall in the second half and finished with 78 net yards on the ground and only 18 in the air. Sandusky, which threw only twice in a 22-0 rout of Lorain last week, hurt the Trojans occasionally with five completions in 12 throws. As in the Elyria game, Findlay took the opening kickoff and moved right down the field for a score. Raul Martinez took if over from the one with 8:331 nff in t Vl nit ovtne oorl D -mrlr24-13RoutsoP hit end Tom Darden before a pass reached the receiver and interference was called.Findlay’s next series of plays lost two yards and Steve WOodruff barely got the punt off after dropping the pass from center. Sandusky took over on its own 16 with 7:45-remaining.Williams gained only two yards but then Miller, unable tofind anyone open, rambled all the way to Findlay’s 29 and the Trojans were in deep trouble. A penalty and five nms hv Williams put the ball in the. end zone with 3:04 left. Williams got no more than a foot past the double stripe on the fourth down play.Miller had passed to Darden for the first two-pointer and Williams ran for this one and a 16-13 Streak lead.Findlay tried to come back but it wasn't in the cards and Woodruff was thrown for a loss to the Trojan 29 on fourth down.
