FOURREADY TO GO—This scene will be repeated today as b**ti are prepared for launching lo compel* in the Lake Zoar re* gatla of the Connecticut Ou I board association.Power Boats Competing Today In Annual Lake Zoar RegattaThe annual Lake Zoar regatta of the Connecticut Outboard association will take place at 1:30 p.m. today at Stevenson's dam, Monroe, just off Route 111.The race is sanciioned by the American Power Boat association. Five classes of utility and four of hydroplane will be scheduled. Boats will range from 25 to 70 m.p.h. in classes which arc divided according lo engine size. The course is one and one-' quarter miles oval with three laps and two heats.Area drivers expected to participate are Steve Pereitcy, Jr.,of Fairfield; Henry Kutash, Jr., of Fairfield; Charles Gonyea of Milford; William Ttchcy, ofShelton; Nick Cexino of Milford; Robert Kish of Siamford; Peter Kross and Frank Warner, both of Newr Haven, and Bud Rice of Norfolk,Also participating wilJ be James Martin pF Norfolk, Donald Graham of Milford, and Robert Howie of Trumbull. The three have won national standing.Many of the 27 top ranking national drivers from the north-' eastern part of the country are expected to compete.
