State Center's stout defense again played an important part in the victory over the better-than -average Colo aggregation and homecomers saw the Blue and White gridmen held to a total of only 29 yards on the ground and 21 yards by air. Up front, it was Duane Hilleman, Gayle Westphal, Alan Hilleman, Jon Ward. Jerry Malloy and Carroll Huff who held the visitors to low yardage. Dave Lively and Russ York, linebackers, provided stellar performances on defense for the Wildcats.
