D, Oct. 13.—lt;}— North Dakota State stepped off to a victory in their North Central conference football debut here last night and meted out a 22-0 defeat to the Coyotes of South Dakota university.Seven plays after the first kick-off Fritz Hanson, the towhead speedster ofthe Bison ball-carrying quartet skipped 15 yards through a broken field for a touchdown. Later in the opening period Hanson took a South Dakota punt and ran 47 yards to score again. Doan, who replaced Hanson, brought the third touchdown in the second period, ending a 65-yard march and the extra point again was converted from a placement by Wendell Schollander.
