HIGH SCHOOL DEFEATS ALUMNI IN FAST GAME FRIDAYThat old D. H. S. will put*a winning team in the field for the coming basketball season is the verdict of the 150 fans who saw the alumni aggregation go down in defeat before the high school bunch in the gymnasium, Friday evening The young fellows had the older men outclassed from the start showing that speed and skill in basket ball is more to be desired than size and strength. The final score stood 22^—21 in favor of the high school.The game is more fascinating and brilliant than foot ball and we hope to witness many more in Delphi. The alumni was represented in the game by Roach(’09) and Sims ('05^, forwards, Shriner (’09) center, Turner(’10) and Pearson(’08) guards. The high-school by Julien and Mount, forwards, Craig, center, Mohr and Dewitt, guards; i/lc-Cain was substituted in the seco idl aF, Craig made the most brilliant plays for high school and Shriner for the alumni. The goals were made as foilows: Craig 2, Julien 1, Mount 6, Shriner 5, Turner 2. Sims 1, Pearson 1.The high school band furnished good music. A game has been arrangedwith Brookston for Saturday and the Friday following a return game will be played here. We advise our readers to get out and see this game. It will be a good one.t
