All of the students are very enthusiastic about the sale.The Mascot tryouts were cancelled and were rescheduled The winner and new mascot is Carmen Rhodes The new band majorette is Diane Tyler.On Friday, Sept 23, Don Julio attended Cordova High School sixth annual cross country invitational The course was 1 98 miles long and according to the runners the course was very difficult due to the 1,200 yards of sand. David Wmdley was first for the Don Julio team, 13th place overall.Bella Vista and Don Julio held a dual meet Wednesday, Sept 28. at Rusch Park. The course at Rusch was 1 98 miles long and was all grass except for a small parking lot. Don Julio came in second place with Dan Larson taking first place with an11 33 time. Mike Crawford finished fifth with the time of 12 22. Rick Allen 191. Tony Pizzio (10), McConell (11), David Wilgus (14), Dwight Rovston (16), and Mel Nelson (17) were the other participantsOn Saturday. Oct 1, Don Julio attended another meet with Nevada Union Invitational The meet was held at Nevada Union High School. The course was exactly two miles long and was level or downhill.In the ninth race there were approximately 190 runners competing. The first Don Julio runner was Dan Larsen in the fifteenth position on a time of 12 30 Other runners were David Windley, Mike Crawford, Rick Allen. Tony Pizzio, David Haycox, McConell. Mel Nelson. David Wilgus, David Royston, David Shields and Jon BonnetThe Don Julio football team played Campos Verdes on Thursday and were the winners by a score of 32-12, for the team’s third consecutive victory.
