It has been a goldn day and it will be a gorgeous night.Everything points to record breakingcrowds at this evening's meetings.Everybody wants to see and hear JimWatson. They know he is good tolook upon and they know he is goo.1to hear. The out townships of thecounty are going to vie with Kokomoin doing him honor. From north andsouth and east and west scores of Republican farmers have sent word thatthey are coming. From everywhere1;fatwithin the borders of old Howard* tfolks are coming, and for a little while ! tthey are going to indulge in a littleold-fashioned Republican campaigning.J1fMr. Watson and the Hon. Ed. E.|;Hendee arrived late this afternoon, ivcoming from Indianapolis where Mr.Watson spoke at a mid-day meeting.They were met at tne Indiana Union., Tracdon station by a reception com- j c mittee in automobiles and escorted to£0othe Frances hotel. Mr. Watson isfeeling very well considering thestrenuous campaigning he has been doing for the last six weeks. Mr. Hen-dee also is in fine form and will beready with a rousing speech.Because of their eagerness to getto the meeting places and get seats there will be no marching by Center township Republicans, except the old soldiers, who will meet at the Mulberry street headquarters at 6:30o'clock and later march in a body tothe Alhambra where they will occupyseata reserved for them on the stage.The delegation from Greentown andother points in eastern Howard will come on a special train on the K., M.dfft1(t1tI W. traction line. That delegation j j will be headed by the Greentown bandand will march from the traction station to the Alhambra.The doors of the Alhambra will not1w opened until 7 o’clock as it is desked that laboring men be given timeto get their suppers and arrive at theAlhambra early enough to have an equal chance with the others for seats. All persons, however, who fail to get seats at the Alhambra should go tothe Mulberry street headquarters, for they will hear an excellent speech by Mr. Hendee and will also get to hearMr. Watson, for he wil| speak thereas soon as he is through at the Alhambra.The Citizens’ band will begin playing in front of the Alhambra at 6:30and will play there until the doors areopen, then will go within the buildingand play in the orchestra box. TheHoward band will play in front of theMulberry street headquarters until 7o'clock, when it will escort the old soldiers to the Alhambra. After thatit will return to the headquarters. The Greantown band, after escorting theRepublicans of eastern Howard to the Alhambra, will play in front of thri building until the speaking begins and then will be at the service of the headqtiar?ers meeting.Four glee cluos will participate in the meetings and all will sing at bothplaces. The ‘Old Shady” quartette.the most famous musical organizationIndiana politics has produced, came with Mr. Watson and will sing at theAlhambra just before he speaks. TheGreentown glee club will sing immediately upon its arrival. The Republican glee club of this city under the direction of Will Dotterer willopen the meeting at the Alhambra, later going to the headquarters. JoeLindley and Willis White will be ondeck all right at both places, which makes it certain that the “OldShady” quartet will have to go some if it wants to carry off the lyric honors of the occasion.At the Alhambra there will be a fullcorps of ushers under the direction of Will O. Finch. The crowd will behandled as expeditiously as possible. Everything possible is going to be done to make the affair pleasant forpvervbedv.
