Diana is a senior. ICarole and Pam are juniors and Letty a sophomore. IThe Board of Control of the Oklahoma High School Athletic As- j •ociation, at a recent meeting, approved a proposal to discontinue the girls division of the state golf tournament. The entire association, at its Oct. 25 meeting, will vote on the proposal and probably will follow the board’s recommendation.The Board of Control cited lack of interest in the girls meet, reporting 18 girls from 5 schools in the 1959 tourney; 17 from 6 schools in the 1960 and ’61, and 11 from 3 schools in the 1962 competition.Miami girls who won the 1961 team title were Gave Phillips, j Phyllis Propper, Suzanne Stephenson and Miss Oliver, the onlymember of the foursome with the 1962 title winners.* * *Fred Warren, who lettered as a reserve end with the 1961 Miami high War Does, is a regular guard this season wtth the Brea-Olinda high Wildcats in California.Fred, son of Mrs. Margaret Warren who moved to Brea in June, is a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Dickson, 11 H northeast. Now a junior, he stands 5-11 and weighs 180 pounds.Brea-Olinda, unbeaten in the current season, had a 12-6 record I last year. i
