Day, Tacoma and Northwest agent of the new Henderson four cylinder motorcycle* has received notification of the winning of the big Michigan endurance run by a Henderson machine. Charles Dmde, driving the new machine over 381 miles of heavy sand, came through at the end of the run with a perfect score.Thirty contestants* representing nearly all makes of motorcycles* ground out the 61 miles between Detroit and Flint, Michigan on the first day. Then the sand was encountered* and one by one the machines dropped out. Only eight machines finished the race. Four of them had perfect scores. Drude. on his 1914 Henderson* with 187.7 miles to his credit the second day out* finished first at the tape with 14 minutes to spare and a score of 1000 per cent. One of the other winners was a Merkle.The Michigan run Is considered one of the hardest motorcycle tests in the United States, on account of the treacherous condition of the roads.
