JEAN IENNEV SETS HATE RECORD MR DOUBLE AMERICAN ROUNDDr. Baldwin of Baltimore Carr its Off Top Honors in First Optn TourntyThe first open tourney ever staged by the Antletam Archers proved a decided success yesterday on the Hagerstown Golf Course grounds with contestants from Washington, Baltimore, York and this city taking part. Four classes shot the double American round and a new state record was established when Dr. J. C. Baldwin, of Baltimore, totaled 641 points in the first round to beat the old rec ord of 648 points. Miss Jean Tenney, National Women’s Archery champion, came right back in the second round to break the mark set by Dr. Baldwin, when she totaled 649 points.Miss Tenney also gave the crowd a thrill by making a perfect end at 50 yards (that is placing all six shots.) The champion, competing in the men's division, car-rfed off top honors with a total score of 1287, scoring 90 hits for 688 in the first round and 89 hits for 649 points in the second round. Being of the host club, Miss Tenney did not compete for any of the awards.Dr. Baldwin WinnerDr. Baldwin, of Baltimore, won the men's division with a 1255 point total, scoring 89 hits for 641 points in the first round and 90 hits for 614 points in the second. William H. Clark, of Baltimore, placed second with a 1130 point total for the two rounds.In the women's division Mrs. Peggy Clark, Qf Baltimore, took top honors with a total of 1111 points and Mrs. M. G. Briggs, of York, was second with an 834 total. In the Junior Intermediate Boys’ class Steve Noel, of this city, placed first with a 1077 count with Dick Phillips placing second with a total of 945 points. Margaret Bohrer took honors in the Junior Intermediate Girls’ division with a total of 761 points and Katherine McKee placed second with a 512 point total.Awards Are Made Medals were presented in Class A to F. C. Coleman, of Baltimore, in Class B to Captain Walter Allen and in Class C to Wally Zaguiski. of York, Pa. H. Z.
