Pataskala played a good defens-ive game but their offensive wa.s weak. *eiHv use of the forward pass, they got we within striking distance of the Uran- WB ville goal twice, but in each case the \1,04 Granville line held like a stonewall andicrlt; Pataskala could not deliver the extra S° punch needed to score.The Granvile players were in poor condition and time was called many times during the game for injuries of a minor nature. *The weather was typical football weather and a fair-sized crowd turnedout.The game was clean although rather rough at times, several penalties being called* for off-side, due to. over anxious ness on the part of the players.Granville received the kick-off anddue to over-confidence and lack of interference did not score in the first quar ter, but registered up one touchdown in each of the followiry? quarters. In the sectmd quarter the team played more as a unit and a few minutes after play began Smoke carried the ball across the line for the first touchdown of the gamePrice kicked g^al. Pataskala • kickedoff and the ball changed hands several times. The half ended with the ball in Granville’s possession on the Pataskala 5 yard line.Pataskala kicked off at opening of second half, and the Granville -team started a steady march down the field and it was not long until llankinsoncarried the ball across the line for a touchdown. Black kicked goal making the score 14-0. Pataskala again chose I to kick off. In the latter part of the third quarter Pataskala advanced thej^|9ball to the Granville 10 yard line, but% . ~w 7they failed to seore.Granville gained possession of the ball on downs and earlv in the fourth4 *quarter Smoke bucked across the line for his second touchdown. The score now stood Granville 1*0, . Pataskala 0. Pataskala then received the kick-off but neither team was able to score during the remainder of the quarter.' .
