Van Buren High School Blue Devils Gross Country Team Wins County Championship—Times Photo by George H. The team defeated Brazil, Blackhawk and Riley and lost to Concannon in dual meets and won the Clay County meet with seven teams participating over the two mile course on the Brazil Municipal Golf links. In the county meet the closest teamto the Blue Devils was 55 points behind.The team has the benefit of a splendid place to practice, a course laid out on the school campus. Coach Chalos, who has moved up from Prairie Creek, appears on his way to revive interest in all athletic sports at the big school which serves both Van Buren Township in Clay County and Jackson Township in Parke County.mmV
