The soldiers failed to prove any t match for Connie Mack's proteges and the American League team easily got away with a ^-I'victory.Both teams failed to show any special form and, barring one or two spectacular stops,,the contest was not in a class with the article of sport which the Blue JRidge furnished all summer. York was in the box for the soldiers and. though effective most of the time, was hit when hits counted.
