Pony WhiteBy GLORIA GUERREROThe Lamar Pony White Team defeated West Columbia’s Roustabouts, 18-0 behind the running of Mike Miester Thursday.Miester, Robbie Mullens and Ben Macias each scored a touchdown for the Ponies.Lamar’s longest run for a touchdown was made by Miester with 15 vards. Mullens ranJfor eight yards, and, with a completed pass from Bill Pen-kert, Macias ran nine yards.Jesse Segura, Miester, Penkert and Mullens were singled out by Coach Travis Lun-dell for outstanding offensive work. Paul Nawara, Eddie Boepple and Willie Thomas were singled out as defensive standouts by Coach Bob Haley.This was the White ream’s first victory, and Coach Lun-dell said, We cut down on a lot of mistakes.’'
