Oh, I can hardly believe that Friday finally has come. How can one week seem so dreadfully long? I don’t mind hanging here on the bulletin board in Mrs. Hartmann’s physical education office, but it does get rather lonely. I can hear the voices of students each day as they pass' down the hall. Sometimes the -noise-and laughter _of__ the girls in the locker room reaches me. I am glad, however, that I can hang freely on this board and ' hear all the bustle of school instead of being cooped up in a. dark, musty old drawer.Noon Hour ArrivesWait, I can hear the dismissal bell! The noon hour is here at last. Only a half hour before I can “talk” again. I am so excited. If I don’t settle down the thumb tack will pop from my leather collar and down I’ll tumble to that hard, gray floor. Ha. ha, floor, I get to leave* pretty soon and you never get out of this room.Is that a key I hear turning in the lock on the door? Hallelujah! Mrs. Hartmann has come to take me to the assembly. I can hear the band playing the fight song and the students clapping and singing. Can’t sho walk anv fadtpr^
