Two plays later Moore intercepted at the three.The Dukes were in command from there, and early in the fourth quarter they took the lead for the first time,. 117-14, when freshman kicker Scott Norwood nailed a 38-yard field goal.Mars Hill’s next three possessions ended with two punts (after Clark was sacked twice on third downs) and an interception by linebacker Tom McGIoon.McGloon’s interception set up the final touchdown that capped a five-play, 59-yard drive. Fullback Todd Martin picked up 53 yards on four carries. The last was a 39-yard burst off tackle and then up the left sideline.“It was a very good effort on Todd’s part,” McMillin said. “A great run.”Martin led the Dukes with 74 yards in 11 carries.The Dukes intercepted twice mqre in the closing minutes as Mars Hill desperately tried deep passes.“Nothing really worked well,” Gibson said. “They were prepared for us, perfectly.
