Bearded Nine Falls 5*2 at Brady; Stebblns Leads Attack With 3 HitsThe San Antonio Missions, who are playing strong teams in exhi-* bition games in South Texas, defeated the House of David bearded nine at Brady yesterday, 5 to 2. A fairly large crowd was on band.• HiIIin and Wlitso chunked them over for the Missions, Hillin allowing four hUs in five innings and Wiltse one the rest of the route. Lee Stebbins, former Mission, who played first base for Beaumont most o£ this season, headed the 11-hit attack on Brady, House oi David hurler, with three blows. Caldwell slapped out a single and one of the longest home runs in his career, the ball sailing over the fielder's head and rolling down a hill.Hillin also got two hits, while Heath, Harsh* ny. Purdy and Wiltse divided the other four*Thursday the Missions hope to play at Kenedy, where they were rained out last Sunday, after more than 2,000 tickets had been sold. Sunday they' got to Taft for two games with an all-star team and Lu Laredo, Oct. 13 and 1-4 for three more.
