Travellers awards nightThe Travellers Motor Hotel fastball club, winners of the Alberta Intermediate championship, held their wind-up baocmet and awards night at the Travellers Motor Hotel Sent ?TFrank Brennan won the a-ward for the most gentlemanly, most sportsmanlike player: and Brian Honke copped the most valuable player award for his work on the mound and at third base.Butch Pepplur received the trophy for the most home runswith 12 throughout the season.. The trophy for the best bat-, ting average went to Don Holt, who maintained a standing of •439.Ernie Armltage, sponsor andgeneral manager of the team, was awarded a plaque for hav-' - Jthe Albirta provincial champions, anduiothei players were awarded a small plaque for their efforts throughout the year. ; __Members of the team present at the banquet were Frank Brennan, Brian Honke, Bob Fortier, Butch Pepplur, Hon McKenzie, Don Holt, equipment manager, Bert McCluskey, Moe Tominuk, Ernie Armltage, sponsor and general manager, worm Wiwcharuk, secretary-treasurer, Gordon Northey, coach and Wally Arychuk, manager.Dennis Blondeau, umpire, received an autographed white cane.
