SLAYTON BROTHERS ACHIEVEBASEBALL FAMBGeorge Pipgras, former Slayton boy, of the New York Yanks, expects to join Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig on a barnstorming tour, and may come in this territory this fall.Edward Pip gras, a brother recently returned to Slayton to spend the winter at his old home after a successful season with the Allentown, Pennsylvania team. Ed pitched three days in succession, winning all games, ( thereby contributing immeasurably to Allentown’s winning the eastern league pennant.Fred Pipgras, onther brother, has been playing with a southern league team this past season, recently signed up to play in Cuba during the winter. jIn event that the barnstorming “Babe” together with Gehrig and Pipgrass reach Slayton, it is planned , to organize teams with the two brothers as opposing pitchers.
