JERRY NELSON WINS BOUTJERRY NELSONJerry Nelson, the pride of Sheboygan fight fans put Tug” Wilson away in three rounds at the Manitowoc boxing show last evening. It was a pretty contest all the way, but Nelson not only had better than a shade in each round but was the Candy Kid, and his ability to take care of himselt under all conditions was demonstrated The showing made was one that won the approval of the fane present, numbering one of the largest crowds that has e\er gathered outside of Milwaukee.Before the close of the show last evening local admirers of Jerry Nelson were looking fnr a further bout and Jack Forster, Manager of' Jerry” challenged Kid” Morris of Green Bay for a bout and a side bet of J 00. A prominentbusinessman cl Green Bay covered the bet and Promoter Engels of Manitowoc agreed to put them on for the windup at the October show in that city. It is eafe to say that Manitowoc boxing fans will see one of the finest bouts of the season when Jerry and the Kid” meet on the mat. Manitowoc deserves great credit for theshow of last evening, wmch was conducted m a trainer pleasing to everyone. •'Young Sharkey lost on a fonl in the second round and Tommy Crawford stored away McKarker in the second. Joe Mailman who wae present from this city made announcements at the ringside and did so in a manner creditable to himself and the promoters of the show. The bill was a good one and Jerry Nelson returns to Sheboygan with his colors high in the air-
