A fair size crowd attended, Including a number of local supporters and the high school pep club.Carthage, defeating Webb City 40 to 6 in the Carthage municipal stadium, retained its championship crown in the Big Eight, and blasted Neosho’s hopes for a tie for first in the conference. In other clpsing games of the season Nevada beat Lamar by a scant 7-6, and Mo-nett defeated Aurora 13-6.
