Ca/iha^ -Overruns WebbCity 4^-6 To Take BigEight Crown.Neosho’s Wildcats closed their; Big Eight season yesterday with i a smashing win of 21 to 0 over Mount Vernon, defeating the Mountaineers on their home grounds yesterday afternoon. A fair size crowd attended, including a number of local supporters and the high school pep club.Carthage, defeating Webb City 40 to 6 in the Carthage municipal stadium, retained its championship crown in the Big Eight, and blasted Neosho’s hopes for a tie for first in the conference. In other closing games of the season Nevada beat Lamar by a scant 7-6, and Mo-nett defeated Aurora 13-6.
