Imagine the thrill that Knode got when Belts, in regular Pug Rentner fashion, slipped through Fostoria’s defense and ran 10ft yards for a touchdown, the longest of bia career and the laet run a* a high school gridder!With so many of hi* former players on the Gold varsity this season, Knode naturally followed with interest the progress of the team which he had predicted a year ago would he a strong contender for the state championship.At Battle Creek, football fans prior to this fall hadn’t seen a gridiron victory for so long that they had forgotten what it looked like. Knode put out a team that won si* and lost four, and next season will find the bulk of his material again available.DOring his three-year coaching regime here. Coach Knode'a teams engaged in 33 games, won 22, lost nine and tied two.Coach Knode was a guest of honor at the Letter F** club's bean feed at the high school last evening.
