Tonight’s tussle will be one of «.he Bearcats hardest batles. For the first1 lt;time this season the Everettmen will!, be up against a team almost as big and heavy.. The two teams have impressive records, both having lost .to White-wright, the local eleven 12-20 and the Pilot Point eleven 14-0 on their home field. Pillot Point has won 3 and Whitesboro 7 games.! Last week Ken Stephens led the Bearcats to an easy 39-0 victory over the Bells Golden Panthers, while the Denton County team downed Howe.i Either team can wind up in a tie for first place, in second place, a tie for second, or third place. Should Van Alstyne defeat Whitewright in tomorrow’s game at Van, the winner of tonight’s tilt would be deadlocked for the district honors. lt;Who would represent District 15 bi-district play would have to be decided bv the executive committee Should Pilot Point and the Bearcats tie tonight, Whitewright would auto matically win the title regardless of Thursday’s outcome at Van.The local Bearcats have showed vast improvement every game, and observers believe that they would have no difficulty in downing White-wrright should the executive committee demand a rematch in case of a tie. The executive committee could , also rule in favor of Whitewright since they have already upset the Bearcats.Erman Jean Hall has been chosen football queen by vote of the football team and will be crowned at half time tonight. Patsy Baker and Palmer Keith Burba will attend her.They were runner-uppers in the voting contest.Coach Everett says the game tonight looks like a toss-up. Teddy Dutton will be out on account of a leg injury; Tommy Murphy has a chip on his elbow, and the Pilot Point team has one on their shouder. Game time is 8:00.
