North Penn celebrates HomecomingIt was a beautiful fall day with foliage at its peak for North Penn's Homecoming on Saturday, Oct. 16.The day's activities were a pa* rade through Blossburg followed by a football game at Island Park with North Penn verses Blooms-burg.The homecoming candidates were Nikki Austin escorted by Chris Parker, Ruth Beals escorted by Denis Foucalt, Andrea Brooks escorted by Chris Wilcox, Jennifer Lindquist escorted by Mike Wilson, Melissa Sutfin escortedby John Padgett and Gwen Teeter escorted by Gary Earl.At half-time, the queen andrunners-up were announced.Gwen Teeter, daughter of Margaret and Ivan Teeter of Covington, was 1993 Homecoming Queen.First runners-up were Jennifer Lindquist, daughter of Janice and Conrad Lindquist of Blossburg, and Andrea Brooks, daughter of Connie and Andrew VanGordenof Covington.On Saturday evening, a Homecoming Dance was held in t high school's gymnasium.The preceding day was 611with activities at Island Pa which included a Block Party. Several hundred element!and high school students attendthe event.Later that evening, the da events were concluded with a lx fire.Jennifer Strong is a student North Penn High School, Bio burg.
