The Pied Pipers will play Lubbock Cooper Friday night in Snyder for the bi-district title.The Pipers, who were cochamps in 1961 in their district, defeated Anson 28-0 Fridaynight, to take the undivided and undisputed championship of District 6-AA. This is said to be the first time since 1940 Hamlin has won a district crown.The Ballinger Bearcats took second place in the district, their only loss going to Hamlin a while back. They closed out the season by stopping 35-20 at Haskell Friday night. Haskell isin third place with a 3-2 district { record.The Stamford Bulldogs, who had scored only 3 points in district play up until Friday night, surprised the Winters Blizzards to the tune of 14-7, to end with a 1-4 for district.The Blizzards also have a 1-4 record for district, their 35-12 defeat of Anson their only district win.
