Nov. 24.(CP)—Places on the United Press1941 Illinois Intercollegiate Conference football team are divided a-niong four schools with tive of theposts going to Northern TeachersCollege, DeKalb, co-champion ofthe conference.iNormal University, which sliaied the conference title with theIeKalb school, was awarded threeplaces, two went to players fromSouthern Teachers of Carbondale.with the eleventh going to OleyOlson, Wheaton. Western Teachers left end.Only school of the conferencefailing to land a place on the annual mythical eleven was EasternTeachers of Charleston, which finished the season at the bottomof the standings. Two of its players, however, received honorablemention.Players w’ho were given outstanding mention by coaches.spoied Harold Taxman, Sammy Smith,and Toimi Jarvi, guard, quarter-| back, and end respectively for De Kalb, and Bill Gulney, Carbondaleguard and an accurate placekieker.Taxman, a senior, was rated “aggressive. strong on defense and capable of playing several spots inthe line with equal ability.” Jarviwas termed “an accurate passeiand good open field runner,” andBehan was “a deadly tackier andsplendid pass receiver.”Here is the lineup of the all-staiteam :Pos.—Player, Home town SchoolEnd—Ed Behan, Crystal Lakej Northern TeachersEnd—Oley Olson.
