CAKTERVILLE IS IAXSEILLocal High ScIkkiI Meets Defeat byBarton County Five, 27 to 14.The Cartervllle high school basketball team, which played the Lamar Athletic ; Club five Friday night at Lamar, lost the game by the score of 27 to 14. The game was very rough throughout and was caused by the ha mar team outweighing the Cartervllle team so much.This Lamar team was composed of the boys who won the southwest championship for the year of 1910. The Lamar team outweighed the high school boys about twenty pounds to the man, but all the boys expect to give the Lamar a clean and honorable defeat at their home court as soon as a game can be arranged ! for. The line-up for the Cartervllle high school team was as follows: R. Newkirk and W. Bullock, guards; C. Gill, center; It. Willoughby and G. New'kirlc, forwards. Referee J. Bullock.
