Carey Deckard, the Cats quarterback, passed to right endGeorge Burrows for 37 yards for the second tally. Teddy Dutton, the Bearcat’s stellar fullback, added the third score when he went over from the 8 yard line in the .second period.Deckard scored early in the second half from the 2 on a quarterback sneak after Tommy Murphy had returned a punt 68 yards. James | Pearce, right guard, intercepted aPanther pass on their own 23 yards line and raced across for the fifth touchdown. Deckard flipped another aerial to Burrows, good for 15 yards and another score. Chesley Thomas, left half, went over his own left guard for the final score. Teddy Dutton kicked 5 out of 8 attempts for extra points.The Bells team never seriously threatened as they penetrated the Cats 20 yard line only once. This was their fourth conference defeatagainst three wins.Tommy Murphy played his best game of the season as he sparked the Bearcat’s offensive with several beautiful runs and served as a pillar on defense. The entire Bearcat team played an inspired brand of ball.In an impressive half time ceremony, Gladys Fowler was crownedfootball queen over a field of five candidates. She was escorted by Co-Capt. Teddy Dutton. The other candidates who served as ladies-in-waiting were Jeanette Baum, Erma Jean Hall, Patsy Baker and Blair Hall.Whitesboro now has four conference wins against t w o defeats.Today they Journey to Pilot\Point for another district encounterwith Coach Brownings Bearcats towind up their present season.:(PWe Take 1Service
