GALVESTON — The Central eighth-grade A, B and C teams all posted season-opening victories over teams from Texas City Blocker Middle School Thursday night.In the A game, Central won 68-36, getting a game-high 10 points from Line Hardin and nine points each from Otis Brown and Cedrick Gonzales. Central’s B team won 29-23 with Michael Holmes collecting eight points, Sam Williams scoring six and Frank Hernandez playing outstanding defense. Armando Sanches scored 10 points and Edmund Wells added eight to lead the Central C team to a 26-16 win.Bowling resultsGALVESTON — The following results were reported by the Island Bowl from league action of the past week:• UTMB Mixed League: Team high game — Cathy’s Clowns (736).
