Chiefs Show Loss Despite Increase In AttendanceSYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP)—The Syracuse Chiefs of the International Baseball League ended the 1963 season with a deficit, despite a first-place finish and an increase in attendance. Anton F. Kreuzer, trasurer ofthe community-owned club, toldthe annual meeting of stockholders Thursday night the team lost $14,661 in 1963. Home attendance, he said, totaled 165,-6H—the largest in the last three years and an increase of 62.000from 1962.Frank Barrv, chairman of theboard, and Albert C. Desseroth,president—both of Syracuse -were re-elected by the stockholders.Syracuse Is a farm team ofthe Detroit Tigers of the American League.
