JO.— Soven thousand people witnessed the Athletic carnival held in the Coliseum last night under the auspices of the St. Louis Press club, managed by “Parson Davies and reform'd by George Siler. Young Griffo, the Australian boxer,and Tom Tracey were matched for eight rounds, but Griffo wag hurt early in the evening in a collision with a street car, and, although hi' endeavored to proceed with the coutest, was forced to quit in the first round*
