the corner stone of the new court house at Rensselaer and there was an immense crowd present. There were visiting delegations from LaFay-ette, Delphi, Monticello, Monon, Kent* land and other points in northern Indiana and it was a red letter day in the h‘story of the capital of Jasper county. The foot ball game was one of the big features of the day and the game was contested with intense earnestness on both sides. While the Delphi team got the score it also got most of the bruises and three members of the team were disabled. The latter part of the game was played with ten men in the Delphi team. Bob Wason has been laid up ever since with a broken ankle bone and it wiil be sometime before he will be able to take part in another game.Today will be another interesting day for the Delphi team and its friends. Attica will be here in force and it is s id that the eleven men who make up the team are among the best drilled players in the state. Deardorf, who was one of the best players Purdue ever had. will play center for Attica and Delphi will have to put her best men in the game. Our boys have beaten them once this season by a score of four to nothing but th% team from Fountain county are loud in their boasts that we cannot do it again. They will be accom panied by a brass band and a goodly number of rooters.
