Brown Takes Score RaceAs Crawford in SecondFinal scoring figures for Jef-fland football teams showBeallsville’s Mike Brown as the winner with 110 points.But the surprising second place finish is the story in the point chase.For Cambridge High’sLeonard Crawford and Tom Hollins overtook and passed all contenders for second and third to finish behind Brown with 70 and 60 points respectively.John Herron is the closest rival for honors and the John Glenn end-fullback posted 58 points for a fourth place finish, just six ahead of Barnesville’s Dan Plumly with 52 points.Brown’s first place scoring record was based on 18 touch-!highest number of six-pointers with 11, just seven behind Brown, while Hollins was third in this department with 10 touchdowns.Herron had eight touchdowns and six conversions for his 58 points and Jeff Young of Barnesville had seven touchdowns along with Shenandoah’s Dave Mazgay to run one counter ahead of Plumly, but the Shamrock quarterback had nine conversions for the extra points and his 52 total.The final totals:11downs and one two-point conversion for 110 points.
