South End’s last representative in the city high 11 school play-offs, was eliminated Saturday losing a 20 to 7 decision to Lane Tech at Soldiers Field.Lane Tech’s touchdowns were scored by Half Back Ken Smoc-synski, on an 8 yard run midway in the opening period; Quarter Back Bob Tokarx on a 12 yard gallop early in the third quarter, and Half Back A1 Jensen on a 9 yard sprint with a minute and a half of the game remaining.Caps 78 Yard DriveJensen’s scoring thrust climaxed a 78 yard drive by Lane, which started when Morgan Park kicked off to its North-West section rival’s 22 yard line after the South - Central White division team had crossed the Indians’ goal.Quarter Back Howie Anderson and Half Backs Ted Lisse and Howie Iindgren sparked Morgan Park’s fourth quarter touchdown drive, which got under way on the Mustangs’ 7. Lisse ran 47 yards and Anderson 19 in Morgan Park’s most brilliant offensive spurt, which Iindgren capped five plays later by snaring 13 yard Anderson pass in the Lane end aone.Until Lane’s attack went Into high gear in the third quarter, the two teams had battled on remarkably even terms.
