Arthur Evenden, an English welterweight, now is in Australia and Is winning from good men, both American and Englishmen. He recently made tough Frank Picato, the American, quit before the fight went the limit, put the skids under Sid Burns, the English welter, and now he has beaten Johnny Summers, the champion welter of England. It is expected that “Wildcat” Ferns will meet Evernden when he invades Australia with Eddie McGoorty, Grover Hayes and Milburn Saylor, along with Ray Bronson, another good welterweight, all being Americans.
