Robert Nance opened the scoring for the winners with a six-vard zip in the first quarter. Keith Needham got the PAT on the final Cowboy score.Dave Keller helped the Vikings finish their regular season on a winning note, scoring two touchdowns to produce the 12-0 Junior Midget score over the Browns.Keller scored in the first andfourht quarters. The conversion kicks were wide both times.The Junior Midget Chiefs held off a two touchdown splurge by the Dolphins in the final quarter to emerge with an 13-12 win yesterday.Scoring for the Chiefs were Todd Goehring, on a 25-yard run in the second frame and Rickey Robinson on a 60-yard sprint in the fourth. The key play was the Chief conversion run after the first TD.John McKelvey (11 -yard run with an intercepted pass) and Danny Rangel (60-yard kickoff return) were responsible for the Dolphins’ tallies.In Midget Division play, the Redskins decisioned thePackers 20-0.Rick Sellard scored the initial time for the winners on a three yard dive. In the third ' quarter Ron Evans stepped into the endzone from a yard ! out and Cato Esquivel ran for 80-yards.And in the Bantam Division, the Bears outpointed the Rhinos 19-6.The Bear attack was spearheaded by a Richard Yarnell to Robby Hehe pass in the first quarter, a 15-yard run by Espinoza later in the opener and a returned pass interception by Yarnell.The Rhinos (from Tempe) scored their only six points on a short scamper in the third quarter.
