Rippers And Mountaineers To Clash Friday NightThe Marion Rippers badly bruised and battered from their gruelling slt;rhedule will bang head on into the undefeated Waynesville Fridaylight.The Mountaineers defeated the Rippers last year in the Paper Bowl 19-14 and this year the Waynesville team is again host eleven in the Paper Bowl.Coach Weatherly has had two weeks to do so sinc^ the Mountaineers had an open date last week. He has openly stated he is pointing his team for the Rippers. They took advantage of this by scouting the Rippers thoroughly.Providing Coach Ditt can get his cripples in shape, the Rippers will be in for a rough time. Coach Ditt who has personally scouted the Mountaineers stated they were the\biggest team he has seen this year. Claiming they are better than last year when the defeated the Rippers 19-14.If the Rippers can defeat the Mountaineers it will make the Bowl officials look Pinked, as Marion has knocked off two Blue Ridge conferences while losing only in the Western play.
