Four Blue Aces On All League TeamLicking County league football champion. Licking Valley, and Lakewood, tied with Granville in the runner-up spot, led selections made by the LCL coaches Monday to the all-league teams for 9172. The mentors met at Granville High School.Both the Lancers and Valley placed six players on the 35 man squad -11 defensive, 12 offensive (including a place-kicker) and 12 honorably mentioned.Two players, Licking Valley’s junior quarterback Ralph Felumlee and Licking Heights line-backer, senior Rick Booker, were the only gridders to be named to both the offensive anddefensive units.GHS landed both senior halfback Scott Smith and place-kicker Jim Piper, a junior, on the first offensive team, but in selections that will come as surprising disappointment to followers of the Blue Aces, the only GHS defensive men selected were senior Mark Bowman and junior Mike Stiff both only given honorable mention on the defensive platoon.19 seniors, 15 juniors and a lone sophomore, Watkins fancy quarterback.
