END OF ATHLETIC PARKStreet to Go Through Site of Former Bieyele Track and Ball Grounds,The board of public works will thisafternoon begin the work of tearing downthe fence surrounding Athletic park on the Sixteenth street side. The street is to be opened through the park and tha board will take charge oi the work which will be paid for by the Murray Iiiti Land company, owners of the park- The cement bicycle track which cost the sporting men of the city no Io9s than S3;000and was snid' to be the finest in the country, will also be torn out where it interferes with the opening of the street. It ia expected that the balance of the track will soon be torn out and the land platted for building lots. This will put afinishing touch to the baseball'park and there will be no more games witnessed in that section of the city. Future games, it is said, will be played on the north side where larger crowds arc brought out.
