Mr. Ward,“ I am Very, much surprised to hear you wished to demand the money, deposited by yourself and me, as forfeited, as you must be assured that the time was postponed by the desire of the Duke of Hamilton. I have had the honour • of writing to his Grace this evening, inform-' 'ing him that my friends objeft to going so far as .Scotland at this advanced season of the year, but will go any where within two hundred miles, if a proper place is procured : I have left it 'to his choice, if it shall be postponed tilWhe comes to town, when I will meet you in any of the fields near London at a day’s notice ; but if at a distance, shall expeft a month, that my friends may be apprized. I am going to Norwich for a few days ; but should you be inclined to answer this, direft to No. 11, Bell’s-Buildings, Salisbury-square, Fleet-street.“ I remain, c.“ D.
