Selects to testCALGARY (CP) — The Soviet Union's Moscow Selects will play eight exhibition games against Western Hockey League teams in December, it was announced Tuesday.Gord Renwick. president of the Canadian Amateur Hockey Association, and WHL president Ed Chynoweth said in a news release the Selects would be an all-star team comprised of top players from the Soviet First Division.He said the Selects would open their western Canada and United States tout- Dec. 9 in Edmonton, then travel to Regina Dec. 10.On Dec. 12, the Selects will be in Brandon, Man., on Dec. 14 in Lethbridge, Alta., and Dec. 15 in Calgary.On Dec. 17, they play in Seattle, the only U.S. slup on the tour, on Dec. 18 in Vancouver and wind up the visit Dec. 19 in Victoria.
