(AP) -Jim Curley kicked for 11 poinls to set a school record, helping Shippensburg State to a 59-20 college football drubbing Saturday of the James Madison Dukes.Dukes junior quarterback John Bowers set school records for a single game, hitting 16 of 2? for 205 yards, but wasn’t able to offset the worst loss in James Madison's history.Curley’s field goal opened the scoring for Shippensburg with 6:53 remaining in the first quarter.Shippensburg- added four more touchdowns in the first half on runs by Fred Glasgow, Steve Looney and quarterback Bob Nelson and a blocked punt return by Scot Omdorff.James Madison got on the scoreboard with 18 seconds left in the first half on a 5-yard run by Bowers.Shippensburg added two more touchdowns in the third quarter and two in the fourth to diminish the effects of Lwo Dukes’ scores in the second half.Scoll Flinn carried the ball nine limes for 88 yards and Glasgow carried 18 for 81 to lead Ship-pensburg’s rushing.
