He made good gains every time be took the ball.rIiteL5And the good line play of Joe Herod, Holford Logan, Harvey Franklin and Fred Mitchell held the McKinney Bobcats to a single first down and only 23 yards gained rushing. The Bobcats didn’t make a single yard passing.The Dragons chalked up 12 first downs, 229 yards rushing and 93 yards passing.The Dragons w ill journey to Sherman next Friday for their next District 3A contest.The first touchdown came on a hand off from W. L. Kimble to Davis who skirted wide and went 26 yards to score.After an exchange of punts, the Dragons took the ball on their 40and went the rest of the way on a drive. Eddie Franklin punched over from the 5 for the tally. Kimble bulled over center for the extra point.With the second half only three minutes old, Kimble again handed off to Davis who skipped 43 yardswith a typical Walker show. He also booted three extra points.A crowd of 42,000 roared approval of the All-America’s mightyplay.Second-stringers made the final Southern Methodist counter against a hard-ftghting but sometimes confused Arkansas team.The Methodists stormed to 240 yards on the ground and 177 passing to thoroughly pulverise theRazorbacks.Arkansas did well on the ground with 136 yards as Geno Mazzanti showed ripping power over guards and crater.
